Layths father noticed Layth was sad so he asked, whats wrong. Layth told his father about his dream and said "I would love to learn how to skateboard." His father explained that he doesnt know how to skateboard but luckily Layths Uncle Tio Von is very good at skateboarding. So Layths father called Tio Von to the house to show Layth how to skateboard and do tricks. Layth was a natural and learned very fast. The next day Layth entered the Canada Skateboard Extreme Tricks Competition and won 1st Place

Leo, Maya, and Alex were best friends who loved everything about space. The Moon was their destination, and they were eager to see it up close. On launch day, the trio suited up in their shiny silver space suits and boarded The Star Voyager. As the countdown began—“Ten... nine... eight..."—their excitement grew. "Three... two... one... Blast off!" The rocket roared to life and shot into the sky, taking them on a journey beyond Earth. After a smooth flight, they reached the Moon. The surface was dusty and gray, covered with craters of all sizes. As they landed, Leo, Maya, and Alex couldn’t believe their eyes. The Moon was even more incredible than they had imagined! They put on their helmets and stepped outside. The first thing they noticed was how light they felt. The Moon’s gravity is only about one-sixth of Earth’s, so they could jump really high and far. They laughed as they bounced around, leaving footprints in the Moon dust. As they explored, they learned some amazing facts. The Moon doesn’t have any air, so there’s no wind or weather to change its surface. That’s why the footprints they made would stay there for thousands of years! They also discovered that the Moon has no light of its own—it only shines because it reflects light from the Sun. Leo, Maya, and Alex also visited a huge crater called Tycho. They marveled at the steep walls and rocky surface. Commander Vega explained that the craters were formed by meteoroids crashing into the Moon long ago. They even saw some Moon rocks, which looked different from the rocks on Earth because of the lack of atmosphere.

Mom and Dad’s incredible journey begins in Portugal, where they meet in 2019 at a 3D design course—Mom was 28 and teaching interior design classes, and Dad, 27, was dreaming of becoming an architect in Canada. In 2021, during the pandemic, they find a farm in Salmon Arm, BC, where they work in exchange for food and shelter, making their dream of moving to Canada a reality. Mom even adopts two lambs from the farm! They make many wonderful friends in Salmon Arm, and four months later, with a trusty Pontiac Aztec, they find jobs in Vancouver and Abbotsford and settle in Surrey. On May 28, 2022, they get married on a beautiful farm in Salmon Arm, surrounded by both their families and friends. Two years later, they become permanent residents and buy a cozy apartment near Gateway Station in Surrey in 2023. By 2024, their lives take a magical turn—Mom is pregnant! On October 24, baby David is born, a healthy 4.5 kg bundle of joy. Mom’s parents fly in from Portugal to help, while Dad’s parents adore David from afar. It’s a story of love, resilience, and building a family in a new land.
