Once in a peaceful little town by the sea, there lived a cat named Avery. Avery was a fluffy, white and faun ragdoll who loved to eat more than anything in the world. He especially loved fish, and every day, he would sit by the docks waiting for the fishermen to return with their catch. The fishermen were kind and often gave Avery a fish or two. But Avery was greedy. No matter how many fish he got, he always wanted more. One sunny afternoon, as the fishermen were unloading their boats, Avery saw the biggest fish he had ever laid eyes on. It was shiny and silver, and Avery’s mouth watered just looking at it. “I must have that fish!” Avery thought, though he had already eaten two smaller ones that day. But the big fish wasn’t for Avery. It was the prize catch of the day, and the fishermen planned to sell it at the market. Avery, however, was too greedy to think about that. So, while everyone was busy, he quietly snuck up, grabbed the fish in his mouth, and ran off. Avery was thrilled! He imagined feasting on the giant fish all by himself. But as he hurried to his secret spot, he crossed a narrow bridge over a stream. When Avery looked down, he saw something amazing — another cat in the water holding an even bigger fish! Of course, it was just his own reflection, but Avery didn’t know that. “I want that fish too!” he thought greedily, dropping the fish from his mouth into the water as he tried to snatch the one he saw below. SPLASH! The fish fell into the stream and swam away, leaving Avery with nothing. His big, shiny fish was gone, and so was the reflection he had mistaken for another prize. Avery sat by the stream, sad and hungry. When he returned to the docks, the fishermen had packed up and left, and there were no more fish to be found. Avery realised that his greed had cost him his meal. From that day on, Avery learned an important lesson: being greedy can make you lose what you already have. He still loved fish, but he never took more than he needed again.

I love my tablet. I love playing games and watching videos. I love it so much I take it everywhere and use it all the time. My mummy does not like my tablet. She thinks I use it too much. She only thinks that because she never had a tablet when she was young. Today, I went to use my tablet and the power turned off. I couldn’t play any games. I couldn’t watch any videos, and my tablet was dying. What in the world am I to do? I’ll die of boredom for sure. Five minutes without my tablet and I was pacing the floor. I just don’t know what to do. Mummy walks by, and simply says “Go outside.” Go OUTSIDE? Is she out of her mind? I’ll get itchy, and dirty. And it’s SO HOT! No way. I can’t do that. Mummy starts to go on and on about how she would play when she was young but that doesn’t change my mind at all. Besides, she has so much to say about how she used to play but I don’t see her going outside. “Come,” She said. “Let me show you what it was like in the good ole’ days.” Mummy took me outside and my skin started to melt off my bones. The grass was already pricking my skin, and a rock rolled right into my Crocs. Mummy didn’t mind any of my cries, and started to show us all the joys of her old life. That day, we climbed the mango tree until my sister Jana scraped her knee. We played hopscotch on the concrete using rocks to draw on the street. Daddy taught us how to shoot marbles in the dirt. Ezra, Leo, Mummy and Daddy were having breakfast. Ezra was eating peanut butter on toast with honey. Leo had thrown his food all over the floor. Once he had finished breakfast Ezra jumped up and said "Pirate 3 eyes, Pirate 1 eye, Pirate smelly pants - its time for a pirate adventure". They drove down to the Thames where their pirate ship was moored next to big ben. They got changed into their pirate outfits and set sail. They sailed for many days through all kinds of weather. Then on day 4 Ezra climbed to the very top of the mast, he got out his golden telescope, and peered through it. In the distance he could see another pirate ship heading towards them. He shouted down to Leo, Mummy and Daddy "Watch out - another pirate ship is coming". The family got ready. Daddy put on a suit of armor. Leo pulled down his pants and wiggled his bottom. Mummy got on a horse. And Ezra launched his drone. As the pirate ship approached they could see it had 20 pirates on board. They all had beards and patches on their eyes. They looked scary. They were also drinking a lot of rum so were quite dizzy. The pirate ship got close and closer. When it was very close Ezra shouted "Sink that ship". The family sprang into action. Ezra launched his drone and flew it into the side of the other pirate ship making a big hole in it. Mummy, riding her horse, jumped onto the other pirate ship and knocked lots of the pirates overboard. Daddy, wearing a suit of armor, swam to the other pirate ship, climbed up the side, and smashed down the sails. And Leo carried on wiggling his naked bottom at them. Soon the other pirate ship began to sink. Ezra shouted "Get the treasure". Ezra, Leo, Mummy and Daddy all climbed onto the pirate ship and grabbed all the treasure. They got a huge treasure chest full of diamonds and crystals, gold coins, gold cups, gold plates, necklaces and bracelets. They jumped back on board their own pirate ship as the other pirate ship sank to the bottom of the sea.
