In a beautiful garden filled with flowers and fruits, a Gardener found himself overwhelmed with work. To get some help, he hired two laborers from the market. The next morning, the First Laborer arrived early and began digging holes for planting, aiming to finish his task quickly. Later, the Second Laborer arrived and, seeing the dug holes, decided to fill them back in to complete his job. When the Gardener arrived, he was shocked to find no trees planted. The laborers explained that they didn't know how to plant trees, as only the Gardener knew which trees to plant, where to plant them, and how to care for them. The Gardener realized that without his guidance, all their hard work was wasted. The story teaches that proper guidance is essential for success.

In a village lived a clever girl named Aditi and her younger brother, Aryan. They saw their grandmother struggling to pull a heavy bucket of water from the deep well near their home. Daadi is pulling a heavy bucket from the well. Her hands grip the rope tightly, and her face shows effort. Aditi and Aryan stand nearby, watching with curiosity and concern. “Daadi, why is it so hard to pull the bucket up?” Aryan asked, worried. “Yes,” Daadi explained. “This effort is due to the force I am applying to the bucket by pulling it upward. A force is a push or pull. Right now, I’m pulling the bucket up, but gravity is pulling it down, which makes it feel so heavy.” “Gravity? What’s that?” Aryan asked, scratching his head. Aryan, there has to be a way to help Daadi!” Aryan nodded. “Let’s ask Chacha! He’s always fixing things at his workshop.” The two rushed to their uncle’s workshop, where tools, ropes, and wooden planks were scattered everywhere. “Chacha, can you help us make something to make Daadi’s work easier?” Aditi asked eagerly. Chacha smiled. Of course! We can make a pulley. It’s a simple machine that makes lifting heavy things much easier. A pulley? What’s that? Aryan asked. Chacha said, “A pulley is a wheel with a groove around it. When you pass a rope through the groove, it changes the direction of force. Instead of pulling straight up, you pull down, and it feels lighter” “Can we make one?” Aditi asked excitedly. “Sure! Let’s get some materials,” Chacha said. They found an old bicycle wheel, a rope, and a wooden frame. First, they attached the wheel to the wooden frame using nails. Then, they threaded the rope through the groove in the wheel and tied one end to an empty bucket. Aditi pulled the rope. the bucket lifted smoothly. “That’s the power of the pulley, It doesn’t make the bucket weigh less, but it helps you use less force to lift it.” The next morning, Daadi tried the pulley and was amazed. “Wah! This is wonderful! It’s so easy now!”

The decennial Tai Ping Ching Jiao is the highlight of our community—lively parades and bustling temple fairs reflect the rich culture of Lung Yeuk Tau. I especially enjoy strolling along the charming streets of the old and new villages. The rustic blue brick walls, the scattered houses, and the mysterious watchtowers all radiate the unique charm of ancient Chinese villages. Every time I pass by, I listen intently to the stories of the past and present, as if I can feel the wisdom and footprints of my ancestors. People say that Lung Yeuk Tau, just like its name suggests, is full of life and vitality—a place where dragons soar and tigers leap. It carries the historical memories of countless years while thriving with energy, where traditional culture and modern life coexist harmoniously. 1. John Jr and Nazut were playing in the backyard, when the saw a few hot air balloons in the sky. 2. John Jr and Nazut thought it looked fun and went inside to tell John Jr's parents. 3. John Jr's parents seemed pretty receptive to possibly going on a Hot Air Ballon as a family. They told John Jr and Nazut to find out more information. 4. John Jr and Nazut went to the internet. They found a company that wasn't too far from their home. 5. They found out it would cost about $200 per person and would last about an hour. John Jr and Nazut went back and told John Jr's parents and his mom made the reservations. 6. The long awaited day for the hot air balloon arrived and it was beautifully clear. As the pilot inflates the balloon, John Jr and Nazut can feel the heat from the burners and hear them roar. Once balloon was upright everyone boarded the super size basket. The take off was slow. John Jr and Nazut felt a breeze everytime they went to a new altitude. 6. John Jr and Nazut feel weightless as they glide through the air with the wind, traveling at speeds of five to six miles per hour. The 360 degree view was spectacular. Everything below looked so tiny. As the end of the ride approached, John Jr and Nazut thanked the pilot for "a magical experience that' was peaceful, exhilarating, and gentle." 7. The pilot had to keep using the burners to get the balloon to land. Once landed, everyone left the basket. John Jr and Nazut Thanked the pilot for an awesome time.
