In the magical land of Numberville, the numbers lived in cozy houses on a street called Place Value Lane. There were two neighborhoods: Tens Town and Ones Village. One day, in Ones Village, the number 3 was trying to give 5 apples to a friend, but there was a problem. 3 didn't have enough apples! Oh no! How can I give 5 apples when I only have 3? thought the number. But in Numberville, the numbers always help each other. So, 3 had an idea: "I’ll borrow some apples from my neighbor in Tens Town!" So, 3 went next door to Tens Town to talk to the number 6 who lived there. "Hey 6, I need to give away more apples than I have. Can I borrow some from you?" 6 smiled and said, "Of course! We’re neighbors, and neighbors always help out." So, 6 gave 1 of its apples to 3, but because it was from Tens Town, it was worth 10 apples! Now, 3 turned into 13 with the borrowed apples! "Yay!" said 13. "Now I have more than enough to give away 5 apples." After sharing 5 apples, 13 was left with 8 apples. And since 6 gave 1 apple to Ones Village, it turned into 5 in Tens Town. The numbers were happy because they helped each other, and everyone got exactly what they needed. And so, whenever a number doesn’t have enough to subtract, they just borrow from their neighbors in Tens Town, and everything works out perfectly.

In 2019, Tim Miller's participation in a charity car rally led to the inception of Lids4Kids, a recycling initiative aimed at repurposing plastic lids to support children with cancer. The project gained momentum when a viral Facebook post sparked widespread community involvement, flooding Tim's team with lid donations. Despite initial challenges at recycling depots and a temporary pause due to Covid-19 safety concerns, Tim and his team persevered. With the addition of Emma Holliday, they restructured the charity, establishing The Hub in Canberra as a center for recycling and education. Here, lids were transformed into raw materials for manufacturing, leading to the creation of colorful benches sold to support the charity's operations. Today, Lids4Kids thrives as a symbol of community resilience, having rescued millions of lids from landfills and making a tangible impact on environmental conservation.

Tasha is a 6 year old young pretty black girl with wavy hair. One day her Mom woke her up with a surprise. It was a shiny red tricycle and Tasha was Tasha and her Mom went for a bike ride through the neighborhood. Tasha peddled as fast as she could. They approached what they called the candy lady. The big house had a table in the front yard. it was naptime so they headed home. Tasha didn't want to take a nap so when her mom layed down Tasha snuck out of the house to ride her shiny red trycicle. she knew it was wrong but it was like the bike was calling her name. "Tasha, Tasha." Tasha tried to remember the way that her and her mom took but she got lost. she ran into a hill that she went flying down and the bike flipped and she scraped her leg and tears fell down her eyes. eventually her mom finds her and gave her a talk how important following rules were as well as obeying her parents. the take away from the story is rules are set in place to keep her safe.
