Adventure Story in Lung Yeuk Tau Page 1 On a sunny morning, brothers Ming and Wah decided to visit Lung Yeuk Tau. They heard there were many mysterious legends and histories there. Page 2 The two brothers arrived at the Old Wall and saw the ancient wall and narrow gate. Ming told Wah that this place once defended against pirate invasions. Page 3 As they walked into the village, they saw villagers preparing for the Spring and Autumn Festival. Wah excitedly said, “I want to see these traditional rituals!” Page 4 Ming took Wah to the Tin Hau Temple, where a statue of Tin Hau was enshrined. They saw villagers ringing bells to pray for safety, feeling the power of faith. Page 5 Next, they arrived at the ancient well. Wah curiously asked, “How old is this well?” Ming replied, “It’s an important water source for villagers, over a hundred years old!” Page 6 They visited the Song Ling Tang Temple and admired the beautiful wood carvings and statues. Ming told Wah it was built to honor their ancestors. Page 7 The brothers ran through the fields of the village, enjoying the beauty of nature. Wah said, “The air here is so fresh; I love it!” Page 8 Finally, they sat on a hillside, watching the sunset. Ming and Wah promised to return to Lung Yeuk Tau in the future to explore more secrets!

It was a crisp October day, I woke up to the other dogs whining as the shelter workers let us all out of our kennels. Yes! Freedom! I ran so fast to the playroom to play with my friends! I knew the drill, people visited us all the time and had a few cuddles. As I sat watching the commotion of Simba getting silly all over this ladies lap. I met eyes with the lady human, she immediately picked me up. My legs were dangling and I thought jeez lady I just had breakfast. I stared into her and she stared back, she said "its you, your the one." I said to myself ok lady, do you have food or a ball? The lady stood up and talked with a shelter worker, she came back and said "I'm going to be your new Mom" and I thought "Mom?." She said she would be back, she came back with a new collar and name tag with the name "Koda."

Bella the Bunny brings the freshly cut lemons. Elli the Elephant brings the water. Lila eagerly follows their advice, mixing the ingredients into a new batch of lemonade. Together, they taste-test the new recipe, and everyone agrees- it's perfect! With her animal friends' encouragement, Lila reopens her lemonade stand. Word quickly spreads, and soon the stand is buzzing with happy customers- kids, adults, and even a friendly dog or two. Lila proudly earns enough money for her art set.

Emma a sweet six year old girl, with blonde medium length hair, brown eyes, and is never seen without her purple headband. She is so excited to see the local unicorn festival this weekend. Mimi and PopPop ale ready promised to take her to see the unicorn races and maybe if she’s extra good she might even meet a unicorn that would let them ride them! The adult unicorns are beautiful but haughty. They won’t let Emma touch them even if she’s says pretty please with a Cherry on top. Emma eventually meets a little unicorn with a small horn that is often bullied by the much bigger equines and hides in the shadows. With a pep talk the two decide to become racing partners! They do pretty well in the junior leagues but when a bigger unicorn brother wants to make Emma drop out of the race to let their siblings win, the smallest unicorn “Uno” steps into show what really matters isn’t the size of a unicorns’ horn but their heart. Uno’s small horn glows golden and smacks the bigger unicorn away. The magical flow attracts the adults and soon the big brother unicorn has to bow and apologize. Emma and Uno run in the junior finals but they don’t win. However Uno promises they can always try again next year. Uno and Emma hug on the last page of the story.
